As many try to piece together what happened in Boston Monday, a local professor is drawing his own conclusions to this terrorist attack.

Dr. Chris Hamilton teaches a class called Domestic Terrorism at Washburn University. He says several signs tell him Monday’s explosions are a result of just that.

One of those signs – no one has claimed or taken credit for the attacks. Hamilton says international groups normally take responsibility for an attack soon after.

“The Islamic radicals, they do something, they’re telling you, they’re bragging about it fast, they may even brag about it because they want to,” Hamilton says. “Well, they’re not talking, they’re not claiming, and that’s my first signal that this is a couple of other kinds of terrorists.”

Hamilton says there’s been an increase in these types of organizations. He adds the longer it takes the FBI to piece this together, the more likely it is that an extremist group is behind it.
