The Marysville sheriff’s office is reporting an early morning fire at an equipment manufacturing plant on that city’s east side. According to a woman with the office, the fire broke out just after six o’clock in one portion of a building that is used to paint pieces of equipment.
The building is part of the Landoll manufacturing plant, which employs several hundred people in the Marysville area. It’s an operation that operates around the clock.
There is no report of a cause and there are no reports on injuries.
According to the company’s website, Landoll Corporation manufactures products for agriculture, transportation and material handling.
Marysville fire dept chief says it started just after 6am….in a dust collector in the powder coating room. 3 fire trucks and about 20 firefighters responded and help put the fire out; cleared the scene by 7:30am….no one hurt….employees were evacuated from that building while the ventilated the area.
