A pair of firefighters and a medic were recovering Tuesday, after they were trying to load a patient into an ambulance then hit by a spinning car.
It happened around 11:30 pm Monday night in Wichita.
As they were loading a patient into an ambulance, a car heading east on Kellogg lost control on the wet highway.
The 19-year-old driver somehow bounced off the median, hit a fire truck and then plowed into a “safe zone” blocked off by the truck and ambulance, hitting the two firefighters, the medic.
The impact sent the patient on the stretcher spinning like a helicopter propeller.
All were treated and released over night.
