In late April, much of Kansas is experiencing a spring snow. In Topeka, light snow began falling just after daybreak. Farther west, the snowfall was heavier. Early reports from north central Kansas show anywhere from 3 to 3 inches. In far northwest Kansas, some schools are either closed or delayed.
Some minor accidents are also being reported in northeast Kansas. Most appear to be minor due to weather conditions. Cold weather is on tap for today with a high reaching only in the upper 30’s.
