Prairie Band tribe honored for helping victims

On Wednesday the Department Of Justice honored Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation’s Tribal Victim Services for creating a program for sexual assault victims.

In Washington D.C, Attorney General Eric Holder presented the award.

It was during the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week awards ceremony.

The program received ‘the professional innovation in victim services award’, that recognized a program, organization or individual who helped to expand the reach of victims’ rights and services.
