Emporia State softball falls to Minot State in Central Regional

Kansas City, Mo. — Their were just seven hits in the game as Emporia State fell 1-0 to Minot State in the NCAA Central Regional in Hays, Kan.

For the Hornets Amanda Self was two for three on the day as Taylor Zordel and Jessica Brewer each added hits and stolen bases. Karley Schmelzer pitched 6.0 innings striking out six and allowing just one earned run.

Emporia State is eliminated from the Central Regional while Minot State takes on Fort Hays State tonight at 6 p.m.
