Cause of fire unclear at Topeka Rescue Mission store

It’s not known what started a small fire that damaged a building used by the Topeka Rescue Mission.

Shortly after 7:15 am Tuesday morning, fire crews were called to the mission’s thrift store at 1304 N. Kansas Avenue.

The fire was contained to the northwest corner of the building where a wall mounted air condition was located.
