The Kansas Special Olympics Torch is on its way to Wichita.
Officers taking part in the Topeka to Coffey County Leg of the Torch Run, lit the torch at the Statehouse yesterday.
The ceremony saw the officers on their way south to Beto Junction. They’re part of nearly 1,000 officers from across the state who are taking part in the run.
The event leads up to the Special Olympic Games in Wichita, the games kick off tomorrow.
