A Topeka coffee shop will be brewing for the title of America’s Best Coffeehouse.
PT’s at College Hill could be named the best in the nation.
The competition is taking place at the National Coffee Fest in Chicago.
General Manager Forrest Wright,Holly Bastin, and Ozzie Mendoza leave Thursday morning.
The store’s signature drink will be an iced lavender honey espresso.
PT’s at College Hill is up against eight other teams around the nation in the semi-finals.
After that, four teams move on to the finals.
The team has 30 minutes to make drinks and show what they got.
And if you want that signature drink – the general manager says the store will be selling it next week.
On Friday, June 7th at 1:30pm, Pt’s at College Hill will have a screening party for anyone wanting to watch the semi-finals live at the store.
Prizes for being named the America’s Best Coffeehouse include a trophy and $2,500 in grants.
