A flying car part resulted in a scary split second for a driver on Highway 24 Friday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a car driven by 30-year-old Teresa Schleif of Belvue was headed east at about 9:45am.
That’s when a part of a drive shaft on a passing vehicle approaching from the opposite direction came off…and hit her car.
It damaged the windshield and the driver’s side window of Schleif’s car.
The driver of the other vehicle stopped to help after the accident.
He was not injured.
