This weekend, the moon will be at its closest point to the Earth in its orbit around us and it will be in full moon stage. Both of these things will come together to create a “supermoon”. The supermoon will look like an ordinary full moon, but because the moon will be almost 30,000 miles closer to the Earth, it will appear 30% brighter and 14% bigger than a normal full moon. These supermoons happen about once a year and pose no danger to our planet. Check it out and see if you can tell the difference! The weather looks to be clear and warm!
