KanCare’s Advisory Council received feedback at an open forum yesterday afternoon. The purpose was to get public comments that will be included in a summary of the KanCare quarterly and annual reports.
Advisory council members heard from one patient who expressed frustration about expensive medical equipment she was not eligible to receive. Staff later explained to her that it’s not covered under the plan.
The council received rave reviews from a pharmacy employee who praised KanCare. Her only recommendations were to improve eligibility and also communication between all parties.
