Same-sex marriage supporters gathered at the Statehouse to celebrate the Supreme Court decision.
The state chair of the Kansas Equality Coalition organized a rally at the Capitol to promote LGBT rights.
About two dozen people showed up to the event with signs… flags… and their voices.
The Equality Coalition aims to end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The people there say although the state of Kansas doesn’t recognize same-sex marriage…there are people here who do.
Thee state-wide Equality Coalition also held rallies in Lawrence and Wichita.
