You can start buying fireworks for the Fourth of July.
Stands opened for business across Topeka and Shawnee County Thursday morning.
Fireworks can be sold until July 5th in both the city and the county….but July 1st marks the second year of a shortened firework season.
Last year, the city decided to change the days and times people can shoot off fireworks.
The city law states that fireworks can be shot off from Monday, July 1st to Thursday, the 4th.
According to Shawnee County, fireworks are legal to use from June 27th through July 5th.
