It’s smoother sailing for a section of sidewalk at Shunga Glen Park after yesterday morning’s Shawnee County Commission meeting.
The County recently received a final notice from the City of Topeka that repairs must be made. Tree roots have damaged a nearly 957 foot section of the sidewalk.
Initial estimates put the repairs at $33,000, but commissioners ordered Park Director, Terry Bertels to come up with alternatives.
