Topeka Police Chief, Ron Miller is speaking out about how suggested budget cuts will hurt the police department.  He says his department is understaffed and will stay that way if the police department is forced to make a 5% cut in 2014.

The City Manager’s Office has asked all departments to do what they can to cut 5% from their budgets for next year Chief Miller told a Topeka City Council Budget Committee that 5% amounts to a $1.9 million cut that he says will come through eliminating 25 positions.
