Work is underway for a road project to construct a new interchange at US highway 24 and Menoken Road near Topeka.
The work includes replacement of the existing interchange with a diamond interchange and replacement of the one bridge with four new ones.
Two of the new bridges will carry traffic over Menoken and the other two will carry traffic over railroad tracks.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says the work will take place in daylight hours weekdays with occasional saturday work.
The project is expected to be completed in fall 2014.
