A newly released drought update says most of Kansas is still in a drought.
Another tool, the U.S. Drought Monitor looks at what areas are impacted.
But, here in Eastern Kansas, it’s currently misleading.
Even though we have had our fair share of rains across our area throughout the months of May and June, no official reporting site in the state of Kansas reported “normal” rainfall amounts last month.
