Downtown Mcdonalds robbed, suspects arrested


At approximately 2:40 this morning, police were called to the McDonald’s at 1100 South Kansas Ave. in reference to an attempted robbery.

Witnesses reported that three males, one adult and two juveniles came through the drive thru in a white Pontiac car.  Two of the men were armed with handguns and demanded money from employees.  No money was given to the suspects and police were called to the scene while the suspects fled.

Officers searched the area, and located a vehicle matching the description of the one used in the attempted robbery in the 600 block of SW 5th Street.  The three individuals were located a short time later and were taken into custody.

The two juveniles, ages 13 and 14 were booked into juvenile detention and the 21 year old adult, identified as Adam Alexander was booked in jail for attempted aggravated robbery in connection with this case.
