It’s a trek across America called the “Journey of Hope,” and a team of cyclists are spending time in Topeka.

They are part of a nine week, 4,000 mile cross-country cycling event to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.

They started their journey in Seattle, Washington and are headed to Washington D.C.

The team spent time in Topeka with Tarc members during a friendship visit, where people with disabilities participated in activities with the bicyclists.

One of the cyclists we spoke to says a bicycle is a good symbol of their message.
