A sneaky area of low pressure continues to move out of the southern plains and into the 4 corners. This low brought healthy and beneficial rains to much of Oklahoma and Texas over the last few days. Portions of the Sooner & Lone Star states received up to 3-6″ of rain! Meanwhile, here in Kansas, we only saw spotty showers and isolated t-storms. We completely missed out on the much-needed moisture. If this system had tracked 500 miles further to the north, we would have had some awesome downpours.
Our next best bet of rain, in Northeast Kansas, will come on Friday evening as a front moves through the Midwest. Currently, we are expected scattered showers/storms to pepper the area and hopefully some spots will get 0.25″ of rain. Not a drought-buster, but we will take what we can get!
