Employees of a new college campus in Topeka braved the heat to clean up Lake Shawnee today.
Rasmussen College’s Topeka campus shot down so employees could take part in the 5th annual Rasmussen College Community Service Day.
The school teamed up with Shawnee County Parks and Recreation to clean up the shorelines and beach areas at Lake Shawnee.
Employees also visited with kids being cared for at St. Francis Health Center thanks to a partnership with Children’s Miracle Network.
Between the school’s Topeka and Overland Park campuses, employees volunteer more than 80 hours at different organizations.
