Two Sentenced in Gibson Murder Case

The driver of the van connected with the murder case of Natalie Gibson will spend almost5 years behind bars.

28-year-old Kevin Wilkins was given concurrent sentences Friday in Shawnee County District Court on 3 charges.
Wilkins pleaded guilty to charges of attempted aggravated robbery of Gibson… aggravated robbery and battery of “Lori Allison” in January.

Also sentenced Friday was 18-year-old Frednetta Winston.
She will serve also serve nearly 5 years for her part in the crime.
Winston pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery of Allison, aggravated battery in the shooting of Allison, and attempted aggravated robbery of Gibson.
Wilkins and Winston were 2 of 9 defendants charged with felony first-degree murder and other charges in the death of 40-year-old Gibson and wounding Allison as they returned to their home in July 2011.
