The Kansas Department of Administration today closed the sealed bid process for development of a lakeside, destination resort at Clinton State Park near Lawrence. The State received one proposal from LodgeWell Resorts of Overland Park, Kansas.
A Procurement Negotiating Committee (PNC) will begin reviewing the proposal. The PNC comprises the Secretary of Commerce or his designee, the Director of Procurement or his designee and the Secretary of Administration or his designee. Upon recommendation of the Department of Commerce, which is the agency submitting the Request for Proposal for the development project, the PNC will move into negotiations with LodgeWell Resorts. If a successful contract is negotiated, the contract will be signed by the developer, the Secretary of Commerce and the Director of Procurement.
There is no statutory deadline for the review and negotiation process, but State officials are hoping to make an announcement this fall.
