Former Jayhawk Mario Chalmers took time out of his summer months and returned to Lawrence for his annual golf tournament.
Chalmers is a two-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat and said he’s not one of the Big Three but still receives plenty of attention.
“It’s crazy down in Miami, you can’t go anywhere without fans stopping you, talking to you, wanting to take pictures and all that,” Chalmers said. “It’s good to win a second championship, and it’s good to win everything that comes with it.”
“I had dreams and hopes of being in that position, but actually to be here is a dream come true,” Chalmers said.
