An independent contractor was shocked while doing work at the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex around 1 p.m. Friday, according to Kansas Dept. of Corrections Communications Director Jeremy Barclay.
The name of the worker and the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time, but Barclay told Kansas First News the employee was conscious before being taken to the hospital.
Barclay said the employee was doing utility work. No juveniles were present at the time. The complex is located at 1430 NW 25th St. in Topeka.
