The City Of Milford is asking to join the Geary County and Junction City Metropolitan Planning Commission.
That commission is the advisory board on planning and zoning issues.
In order to provide the same service for Milford, the commission has to amend the inter-local agreement which put together the commission.
Zoning administrator David Yearout says if the amendment is approved the new metropolitan planning commission would have a representative from Milford, who would hear all cases for planning and zoning matters for Milford.
If approved it won’t take effect until January 1 of next year.
