The Kansas Department Of Health And Environment has issued a boil water advisory in areas of Lyon County.
According to the KDHE some residents in Rural Water District Number 4 including Neosho Rapids have lost water pressure.
This issue was caused by a major leak in the line.
The KDHE says there is a possibility that contaminants have entered the water system and it is currently working with the communities to locate the leak.
The department has told all residents in that area to boil any water for one minute before use and throw away any ice cubes made until the issue has been dealt with.
