‘STEP’ Program starting today to crackdown on drunk drivers

Starting today the Kansas Highway Patrol and Local Law Enforcement agencies will begin the “STEP” Program.

The Special Traffic Enforcement Program or STEP Campaign starts today and runs through Labor Day.

The program is to crackdown on drivers under the influence.

While STEP is going on drivers can expect additional enforcement of all Kansas traffic laws with focus on impaired driving.
