An unusually cool August so far

Looking back at the records for Topeka, which date back to the late 1800s, the last three weeks have been more than just abnormally cool.

For the 3 week period ending August 15th, the high temperatures averaged at 82.4°F. That makes that 3 week stretch (July 26-Aug. 15) the coolest on record for the Capital City.
