You can donate all of your treasures to the annual Sale in the Park which will be held on Saturday, September 7, at the Crestview Shelter House in Shunga Park (4801 SW Shunga Dr.). Sponsored by the Topeka Police Department’s Citizens Academy Ambassadors, a non-profit service organization, all proceeds from the sale will benefit the various units within the Department as well as the volunteer program, Cadet Program and Chaplaincy Program.
Visitors to the Sale in the Park will be able to find everything from collectibles to jewelry, decorative items, crafts, furniture, house wares, and just great all-American “stuff”. The sponsors are asking everyone to be on the lookout during their fall cleaning and garage cleaning for donations that will catch the eyes of bargain hunters. Retailers are welcome to donate unwanted stock from their inventories.
Donations will be accepted at the Crestview Shelter House on Friday, September 6 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. If you need to schedule a pick up time for your donation, contact Heidi Tanner, TPD Volunteer Coordinator, at 368-9237 or email@example.com. The sale will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, September 7th, and end at 2:00 pm.
