Parents can expect their kids to learn in a more dynamic way, now that we’re learning more details about the bells and whistles that will be in a new science park.

Last night the Topeka Board of Education was updated on what will be in the “Kanza Education and Science Park.”

It will include a wind turbine, a color coded Westar substation, hands on activities and a pavilion for field trip groups.

The Kanza Science Park is a one of  a kind educational facility and USD 501 Communications Director, Ron Harbaugh says this will be a great learning tool for kids and their parents.

“They will have information posted in a very exciting way for kids, geared for kids,” says Harbaugh.  “They can do hands on kinds of things to find out how energy works.”

The project is expected to be completed within the next 3 to 4 years.
