At 2:34 this afternoon, officers responded to a call of a possible abduction involving a Topeka West High School student. During the initial investigation, officers discovered that a 14 year old male had been removed from school by an estranged family member.
After a coordinated search effort the suspect and victim were located at an east Topeka home at approximately 4:30 this afternoon.
The suspect was taken into custody and the juvenile victim was released into the custody of a guardian.
Michael Jordan, 30, of Topeka was booked into the Shawnee County Jail on charges that include kidnapping and a violation of parole.
Police are still seeking tips and information on the events that occurred.
