Plans are moving ahead on Topeka’s historic preservation plan.
Peter Benton from Heritage Strategies l-l-c presented the plan at last night’s joint meeting of the Topeka Planning Commission and the Topeka Landmarks Commission.
It was the public’s first opportunity to learn updates of the plan and how it guides the city’s efforts in historic preservation in the coming years.
One of the main priorities include getting private sector investment in downtown historic buildings.
