A Topeka High School grad rode halfway across the country to celebrate his 50th class reunion.
David Briery graduated from Topeka High in 1962. He now lives in California and biked the more than 15 hundred miles to the “Sunflower State.”
He began his journey on September 1, 2013 in Los Angeles following the classic Route 66 Old Sante Fe Trail.
“I tell people, yeah I could have flown on a 3 hour flight from LAX to Kansas City on Southwest Airlines and what kind of experiences would I have? Probably none.” says Briery
