Topeka Police are working a robbery at a fast food restaurant.  It happened at about 1:40 afternoon at the Sonic Drive-In on southwest 21st street and Western, near the Kansas Expocentre grounds.

Topeka Police tell Kansas First News that the suspect came to the business and grabbed a money bag from one of the male car hops, stealing an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing 6 feet tall, a short afro, wearing a red hoodie and faded blue jeans.  According to several witnesses on the scene the suspect took off running northbound from the business, jumping into a red, four door vehicle.

No weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported.  The make of the vehicle the suspect took off in is unknown at this time.  Authorities plan to look at surveillance to help them with this investigation.

This is the second Sonic to be robbed this week.  Early Tuesday morning, the Sonic east of 29th and Gage was robbed.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
