WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — The executive director of the Kansas Humane Society is leaving for a new job in North Carolina.
Kim Janzen, president and executive director of the Kansas Humane Society in Wichita for the last decade, is leaving in October to serve as the head of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Wake County in Raleigh, N.C.
The Kansas Humane Society announced her departure Thursday.
The Wichita Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/174skFB ) that Karla Hartlep, director of operations, will serve as interim CEO while the Kansas Humane Society finds a replacement for Janzen.
