Some vacations are taking a hit as “Washington Gridlock” causes problems across the country.

Campers who were set up at the Army Corps of Engineers camp site at Lake Perry were told yesterday they had to be out by eight Tuesday night.

Corps officials wanted to give people enough time to find a new place to go because all federal campsites are closed.  Many moved to the state run campsite at Lake Perry.  They understand employees have to do their job, their frustration is with congress.

“I don’t know how you can be happy about what’s going on,” says Harlan Hunt, who had to leave the federal campground.  “I think it’s a big mess but I don’t know what the answer is.  Unless election time and get enough people who decide to do something about it.”

Roads leading to federal campsites at Lake Perry are blocked.

Workers at the state campsite said they’ve gotten hundreds of calls asking if they’re open during the shutdown.
