Fuel spill on I-70E cleaned up

A diesel spill that closed part of I-70 Tuesday night – is all cleaned up.

Tuesday around 7:00pm, a semi hit a plow truck spilling 180 gallons of fuel at I-70 and MacVicar.

The roadway was closed for a few hours while the spill was contained.

KDOT says all the fuel was cleaned up last night.

A spokeswoman says while the crash was due to snowy road conditions – the snow actually helped to contain the spill and make the clean up easier.
