Stuff the Bus

A Topeka Metro bus was full of food instead of passengers Saturday.

It was all part of the Stuff the Bus event to benefit Project Topeka. Volunteers from Topeka Metro and the Amalgamated Transit Union #1360 accepted non-perishable food donations at the Dillon’s parking lots at 21st & Fairlawn and North Topeka from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“Last year, we collected over 2,700 pounds of food at the Stuff the Bus event. That’s enough to provide 2,088 meals,” said Susan Duffy, Topeka Metro General Manager.
