Details: General assignment reporter for all newscasts. Live reporting, storytelling from the personal perspective and a passion for quality journalism. You must be a self-starter, able to tell a clear story using outside of the box techniques to help explain important concepts. You must be able to develop sources and generate story ideas from those sources you build in the community. You must be prepared to come to work with the lead story everyday.
Experience: One year in a commercial television news operation preferred.
Requirements: Strong writing skills, and attention to detail, fairness, accuracy and diversity are essential. The successful candidate must be able to shoot/edit video and respond to situations quickly. Good on-air presence, with a positive, hard working attitude is a must. Must be able to withstand varied and extreme weather conditions and be able to carry up to 50 lbs. of camera and related equipment.
