Lanes will be closing on a busy highway north of Topeka.
Eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 left lanes from U.S. 75 to Menoken Road will be closed for construction work in the median.
It closed after rush hour Monday morning and will re-open sometime the second full week of March, weather permitting.
Starting next week, southeast 45th Street will be closed to traffic in two phases from Adams to California.
It’s part of the continuing work that began last year to widen the street.
