5k in copper wire stolen from AT&T

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – AT&T says the company has been the victim of copper thieves in Manhattan. A report was filed with Riley County Police for theft and criminal damage to property in the 1100 block of Westport Drive. The communications company claims that between January 1st and February 25th someone cut and stole several copper ground wires. AT&T estimates the loss at $5,000.00.
