A Kansas State University-Salina helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing.

K-State spokesman, Steve Logback says an aviation professor and a student experienced a mechanical problem in flight Thursday morning.

It’s not clear who was flying at the time but the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in a field about 11 miles southeast of Salina.

No one was hurt.

Logback says they are investigating to determine what caused the mechanical problem.
