The weather is cooperating with progress on the Highway 24 and Menoken Road Diamond Interchange Project in North Topeka.
The project is starting to take shape as it enters the second phase.
The steel is in place for the two Highway 24 bridge decks that span Menoken Road and bridge deck work for the remaining two structures will get underway shortly.
“Simultaneously as the bridges are going on, we are also going to begin the concrete pour for new east and west bound lanes through the project,” says KDOT Public Affairs Manager, Kim Qualls. “That’s probably is going to happen in the next month or so.”
The entire project is scheduled to be completed late this fall.
