Man sentenced for drunk-driving death

LYNDON, Kan. (KSNT) – A Nebraska man will serve 41 months in prison for causing a Holton woman’s death while driving drunk.

Twenty-year-old Daniel Martin will serve more than three years in the Kansas Department of Corrections. He was sentenced today in Osage County District Court for involuntary manslaughter while DUI. Martin was driving drunk when he wrecked on May 11th of last year, killing his passenger, 29-year-old Tasha Arketa.

Martin’s blood alcohol level measured 0.13 three hours after the wreck.
