Manhattan considers economic incentives for brewery

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – The Little Apple is considering a forgivable loan of more than $400,000 for the Tallgrass Brewing Company.

Friday we reported that the brewery is making plans for a $5 million expansion. Tuesday night is the second time the Manhattan City Council will consider a proposed incentive package for the company that includes a forgivable loan of $430,000.

Tallgrass has submitted an application for economic development incentives to assist with the purchase and renovation of a building. Read the full application and proposal at this link on the City of Manhattan’s website.
