TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – An accident involving a motorcycle over the noon hour injured one person.
It happened at approximately 12:15pm Monday at 21st and SW Topeka Boulevard.
According to Topeka Police and emergency responders, a 53 year old man who was injured was taken to a hospital by AMR after the accident.
A watch commander for the Topeka Police Department tells Kansas First News the motorcyclist was headed north towards the intersection with he tried to slow down and laid the bike down. He then hit the rear of a stopped vehicle that was at the intersection.
Police closed SW Topeka Boulevard from 21st to 23rd street while officers worked the scene of the accident. It was expected to re-open by 2pm.
