The Topeka Moving Ahead Program awarded another graduating class with diplomas on Thursday.
TMAP’s 75th class consists of seven graduates who were homeless.
Throughout the 13 week program they gained life skills which allowed them to get jobs.
The graduates talked about their experiences and future plans at the ceremony.
One graduate says completing the program is the first step toward the rest of her life.
“I feel on top of the world, I feel like I’ve succeeded and accomplish something in life. It’s a wonderful program and they will help those who want to help themselves,” TMAP graduate Victoria White said.
The class made a presentation in honor of a classmate who recently passed away and was not able to finish the program.
