Paving company ordered to repay consumer

A paving company has been ordered to repay a Leavenworth County consumer the Kansas Attorney General says they ripped off.

In March 2012, Carl Bailey and Mike Gaede offered to pave a homeowners driveway. Because the consumer could not write very well, he asked the men to write the $1,750 check out for him.

They then wrote the check for $17,500, nearly 16,000 more. The pair was also fined $100,000 and are also banned from doing business in Kansas in the future.
